THE KING IS A PRISONER, TIED TO THE TREE AND GAGGED, INJECTED BY THE CONSITUTION OF LAND WITH NUMBING LIQUIED IN THE VEINS. YET THE PUBLIC IS COMING UP TO HIS MAJESTY WITH PLEAS AND APPEALS.
THE PUBLIC IS HINDU AND THE COUNTRY PARTITIONED INDIA WHERE NONE CAN UTTER THE WORD "PARTITION", THE PUBLIC IS AT THE LEVEL OF THE CATTLE AND CANNOT REALISE THAT THE KING HAS TO BE UN-TIED AND FREED FIRST, THEN PUT ON THE THRONE, FED AND WASHED AND THEN APPROACHED WITH APPEALS AND PLEAS.
BUT IT IS THE COOLIE COLONY OF INDIAN "MAYA" WHERE THE TERRIFIED (GANDHI) LOOKS BRAVE, THE TRAITOR (NEHRU) LOOKS A PATRIOT, THE PRISONER (LK ADVANI) LOOKS FREE, THE HINDU "DOG" (SOUTH KASHMIR) LOOKS HUMAN, THE SIKH (SRI AMRITSAR) LOOKS A TERRORIST AND THE RASCAL AND CHOR LOOKS "MR. CLEAN" WHO IS BEYOND LAW.
WHATEVER ONE WRITES OR SAYS TO THE PRESIDENT, PRIME MINISTER OR THE HOME MINISTER OF INDIA, THE QUESTIONM IS "WHAT THE HELL CAN THEY DO, GIVEN THE PRESENCE OF AN ISLAMIC TIGER AND AN ITALIAN (WHITE) ELEPHANT IN THE SHEEP PEN?"
NEVERTHELESS, HERE IS A WELL MEANING LETTER IN GOOD FAITH AND A LOT OF HOPE.

Respected Shri L.K. Advaniji,
The unabated violence in Gujarat raises plethora of concerns in the community here, of course amongst the members of Overseas Friends Of BJP.
The organized manner the violence is being repeated reminds one of the manner the premeditated attack was launched on the Sabarmati Express on Feb. 27, 2002.
Undoubtedly, the number of organizations of jihadi Muslims is multiplying in the country, the members of which owe allegiance to ISI. This is a dangerous trend.
The intelligence has to be beefed up at sensitive locations, where the Muslim population exceeds 10 percent. Moreover, it is important that all the madrasas are registered and their curriculum scrutinized thoroughly and made sure that they are not foreign-funded.
In fact, the thousands of madrasas, which provide only religious education, merit a national debate: as to whether such institutions, which produce beehive of fanatics, are compatible to a secular society.
The greatest drawback of the institution of madrasas is that in them the students belong only to Muslim community. Thus, the young lot has no chance to mix up with the children of other religious groups: neither to converse or interact or make friends of them.
Decisively, madrasas are theocratic state orientated institutions and are not compatible with a secular setup and thus their functioning merits serious reforms.
It will be interesting here to quote-former president of the US, Bill Clinton. In his famous lecture series in the UK, after September 11 attack on the WTC, he said, “There are a 100 million kids who never go to school.
Part of our problem in Afghanistan and in the Muslim world is all these could not go to public school, so they went to madrasas where they were indoctrinated. It is no accident that most of these terrorists came from Muslim countries that were not democracies.”
It is thus imperative to take strong measures to reform the functioning of madrasas in our country, if we really want that the bloodsheds like Godhra and subsequent one in the state of Gujarat be not repeated.
The first step in this direction will be to put an end to the separation of Muslim children from children of other communities. The government should ensure that the Muslim children go to school with children from other religious groups. That is how they will know about the beliefs and practices of other religions. It doesn’t mean they should not learn Koran. This can be taught as an optional subject and those interested can join it. It will be like the scripture or moral science lessons in a Christian school. Hindu students also join them out of intellectual curiosity.
Another useful step, which the government can initiate to bring the Muslims into the national mainstream, is to ensure that Muslim Charities establish charitable hospitals accessible to members of all communities. The Muslims in secular India can’t be allowed to live and behave like those in an Islamic state.
In fact, it is imperative that home ministry constitute a committee including also some secular-minded Muslims to draw a ‘work code’ for running of madras as and Muslim charitable institutions to terminate the isolation of multitude of young and adult Muslims from the mainstream of the country.
On the top of this the prime minister and the home minister should dwell on such subjects boldly publicly without mincing words. This will go a long way in creating more awareness in the Muslim community about the much-needed reforms in the institution of madras as.
The bold speech of prime minister at Goa about some Muslim groups fanatical tendencies has been overwhelming welcomed by all sections of NRIs here.
The speech could also partly form basis of framing election manifesto for general election due in 2004, on the institution of madrasas.
In fact, it is high time that BJP as the leader of the coalition government uses this opportunity to spell out its attitude towards functioning of madrasas and boldly lash out at the so- called Muslim leaders like Syed Shahabuddin and Shahi Imam Seyd Bukhari, who are openly instigating Muslims for divisive tendencies. Prime minister and home minister should not feel shy in publicly condemning communal overtones in their speeches. For instance Syed Bukhari dared to declare, “Taliban is the ideal of all Muslims and Osma bin Ladin is the hero.” It is shocking that no rejoinder was issued by any minister of the government against this most fanatic and anti-national statement.
Finally, Vajpayee-led government must start showing its teeth to such provocative utterances of Muslim leaders and pseudo- secularists, if BJP wants to garner the support of Hindu voters, who are slowly distancing themselves from it.
I take this opportunity to send you a clipping of reporting of press conference addressed by Shri Madan Dass Devi, during his recent visit to New York.
With deep regards,
Yours Sincerely,
