YUSUFALI: And their Lord hath accepted of them, and answered them: "Never will I suffer to be lost the work of any of you, be he MALE OR FEMALE: Ye are members, one of another: THOSE WHO HAVE LEFT THEIR HOMES, OR BEEN DRIVEN OUT THEREFROM, OR SUFFERED HARM IN MY CAUSE, OR FOUGHT OR BEEN SLAIN,- VERILY, I WILL BLOT OUT FROM THEM THEIR INIQUITIES, AND ADMIT THEM INTO GARDENS WITH RIVERS FLOWING BENEATH;- A reward from the presence of Allah, and from His presence is the best of rewards."
PICKTHAL: And their Lord hath heard them (and He saith): Lo! I suffer not the work of any worker, MALE OR FEMALE, to be lost. Ye proceed one from another. SO THOSE WHO FLED AND WERE DRIVEN FORTH FROM THEIR HOMES AND SUFFERED DAMAGE FOR MY CAUSE, AND FOUGHT AND WERE SLAIN, VERILY I SHALL REMIT THEIR EVIL DEEDS FROM THEM AND VERILY I SHALL BRING THEM INTO GARDENS UNDERNEATH WHICH RIVERS FLOW - A reward from Allah. And with Allah is the fairest of rewards.
SHAKIR: So their Lord accepted their prayer: That I will not waste the work of a worker among you, whether MALE OR FEMALE, the one of you being from the other; THEY, THEREFORE, WHO FLED AND WERE TURNED OUT OF THEIR HOMES AND PERSECUTED IN MY WAY AND WHO FOUGHT AND WERE SLAIN, I WILL MOST CERTAINLY COVER THEIR EVIL DEEDS, AND I WILL MOST CERTAINLY MAKE THEM ENTER GARDENS BENEATH WHICH RIVERS FLOW; a reward from Allah, and with Allah is yet better reward.

The Prophet said, "NOBODY WHO ENTERS PARADISE LIKES TO GO BACK TO THE WORLD EVEN IF HE GOT EVERYTHING ON THE EARTH, EXCEPT A MUJAHID WHO WISHES TO RETURN TO THE WORLD SO THAT HE MAY BE MARTYRED TEN TIMES BECAUSE OF THE DIGNITY HE RECEIVES (FROM ALLAH)."
Narrated Al-Mughira bin Shu'ba: Our Prophet told us about the message of our Lord that "Whoever amongst us is killed will go to Paradise." Umar asked the Prophet, "IS IT NOT TRUE THAT OUR MEN WHO ARE KILLED WILL GO TO PARADISE AND THEIR'S (I.E. THOSE OF THE PAGAN'S) WILL GO TO THE (HELL) FIRE?" THE PROPHET SAID, "YES."

The freed slave of 'Umar bin 'Ubaidullah who was 'Umar's clerk: 'Abdullah bin Abi Aufa wrote him (i.e. 'Umar) a letter that contained the following:--
"Once Allah's Apostle (during a holy battle), waited till the sun had declined and then he got up among the people and said, "O people! Do not wish to face the enemy (in a battle) and ask Allah to save you (from calamities) but IF YOU SHOULD FACE THE ENEMY, THEN BE PATIENT AND LET IT BE KNOWN TO YOU THAT PARADISE IS UNDER THE SHADES OF SWORDS."
He then said,, "O Allah! The Revealer of the (Holy) Book, the Mover of the clouds, and Defeater of Al-Ahzab (i.e. the clans of infidels), defeat them infidels and bestow victory upon us."

....Narrated Salim Abu An-Nadr: (the freed slave of 'Umar
bin 'Ubaidullah) I was Umar's clerk. Once Abdullah bin Abi Aufa wrote a letter to 'Umar when he proceeded to Al-Haruriya. I read in it that Allah's Apostle in one of his military expeditions against the enemy, waited till the sun declined and then he got up amongst the people saying, "O people! Do not wish to meet the enemy, and ask Allah for safety, but WHEN YOU FACE THE ENEMY, BE PATIENT, AND REMEMBER THAT PARADISE IS UNDER THE SHADES OF SWORDS." Then he said, "O Allah, the Revealer of the Holy Book, and the Mover of the clouds and the Defeater of the clans, defeat them, and grant us victory over them."
