There was a large demonstration by students at Trafalgar Square, London, this afternoon against war. (BBC News, 6 p.m. MARCH 5, 2003).
It was quite disturbing to see a poster, "NO WAR", written in the Arabic language and script.
It's a pity NO journalist spoke to the young man carrying that placard, to ask, "Which constituency at home are YOU addressing?"
It is widely accepted that the children ought to mind their studies and not delve in politics at the expense of their classes. They are often 'hot headed' and ill informed, even manipulated.
NONE OF THEM WAS INCLINED TO KNOW OF THE BOMB IN BUS IN ISRAEL TODAY WHICH KILLED 15 AND BADLY INJURED MANY MORE.
NONE OF THEM WOULD HAVE HEARD OF ETHNIC CLEANSING IN WEST PUNJAB IN 1947.
NONE OF THEM HAS SEEN THE WEAPONRY AND ARSENAL OF SADDAM HUSSEIN OR WANTS KNOW HIS PAST RECORD OF WAR AGAINST KUWEIT.
NONE OF THEM CARES TWO HOOTS TO FIND OUT THE BOOK OF IDEOLOGY THAT INSPIRED THE HIJACKERS ON SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 WHO KILLED MORE THAN 3000 INNOCENT PEOPLE. BUT THE ONLY THING THEY CAN SHOUT FOR IS "NO WAR AGAINST IRAQ."
It is a further tragedy that in our affluent and comfortable society the youth are "spoilt" and likely to RUN AWAY at the thought of a war rather than volunteer to defend our civilisation-'sword in hand'. How long more can the "Gurkhas and the Sikhs" (or the British Commonwealth) defend the "empire"?
In contrast, every child in PLO camps and IRAQ (and Pakistan), relishes the idea of KILLING the Americans and the British in battle, and drinking their blood. BEYOND THAT LIES PARADISE.
Our civilisation is being worn down and losing the WILL to fight for our values and prosperity.
A little while ago, my brother phoned from America to say that the whole nation is electrified and UNITED in the spirit of PATRIOTISM, and is backing their soldiers to the hilt.
In contrast, our own peace loving "doves", who do not understand the term "national interest", are trying to undermine the MORALE of our gallant armed forces.
It is now up to the Ministry of Defence, the Home Office, the Church and the MEDIA to boost the MORALE of the young in this nation.

NOW LOOK AT BROKEN BHARAT: IT HAS NO IDEA LIKE THESE DEMONSTRATING SCHOOL CHILDREN IN ENGLAND, AS TO WHERE HER NATIONAL INTERESTS LIE.
