.............Man shoots woman baiter at Bandra

A youth who along with his friends had apparently been teasing some women, was shot at, at Bandstand in Bandra last night.
The youth, Mohammed Ali Mohammed Umar Sheikh (26), died at Bhabha Hospital this morning.
The women were among the family and friends of Amin Bhagwanbhai Patel, owner of Saurashtra Farsan Mart in Dadar.
Patel, his wife and the wife of a friend and their children were strolling along the promenade when they were allegedly hassled by the group of youth who leered at and abused the women. The youth were said to be smoking drugs.
As Patel got into an altercation with them, one of youth reached into his pocket, then Patel pulled out his revolver and shot at them.
The youth was wounded in the stomach. He was rushed to the Bhabha Hospital.
Bandra police said Patel had surrendered last night.
(WHY DID HE SURRENDER SO QUICKLY? HE OUGHT TO HAVE GONE ON TO SHOOT TEN MORE EAVE TEASERS OF MUMBAI. THEY ARE ALL OVER LIKE THE LOCUST.)

IN NUMEROUS INDIAN TOWNS AND CITIES THE POLICE THEMSELVES ARE EVE TEASERS AND SO ARE MANY CABINET MINISTERS, MP's AND MLA's.
