A couple of days before Powell's arrival, the Pakistanis were engaged in a “fierce battle” against the Al Qaeda.
On the day that Powell's landed on Paki soil, the Pakis had almost nabbed Deputy leader Ayman al-Zawahri Bin Laden's "do number kaa aadmi.”
Through out the entire duration of Powell's stay in Pak, all we heard was that the Pakis had surrounded the al Qaeda & were about to capture the #2 man in bin Ladin's al Qaeda, most probably al-Zawahri.
Now that Powell has come, distributed a few goodies and gone, the Pakis announce that the al Qaeda have "escaped".
Sounds to me like a modern day version of "Alibaba and Chalis Chor" from One Thousand and One Arabian Nights starring Musa as Ali Baba, Chacha as the magical, mythical and fortune stacked "goofa" and al Qaeda as “chalis chor.”
