Serbs demonstrate against Kosovo independence 

Hundreds of thousands of Serbs are gathering in Belgrade for a mass 
protest against Kosovo's independence. Serbian President Boris Tadic 
has said he will participate in the demonstration. Belgrade says 
Kosovo's declaration of independence from Serbia on the weekend is a 
violation of international law. Meanwhile Defence Minister Franz 
Josef Jung has met Kosovo's Prime Minister Hashim Thaci a day after 
Germany officially recognised Kosovo as a sovereign state. On 
Wednesday Jung inspected German troops serving with the NATO-led 
KFOR peacekeeping mission in Prizren. Jung said human rights and the 
return of refugees should be priorities in newly independent Kosovo.
