VEER SAVARKAR, GREAT INDIAN PATRIOT SENT TO OBLIVION

Date: 29 May 2009

Comment:

Yesterday (28 May 2009) was the Punya Tithi of Veer Savarkar.

Like all other non Nehru-Gandhi "Martyrs", he has been ignored. No tributes were paid to this Son of Bharat Mata, who endured enormous sufferings and who remained a symbol of courageous patriotism.

His plaque was removed by Mani Shankar Ayar at Andaman and Nicobar, where he was imprisoned and tortured, and replaced by that of Gandhi.

The Text books have been cleared of his name and his contributions by our Education over-lords.

Let us pay homage to this illustrious son of Bharat Mata, lest the future generations forget him.

Yesterday the Punjab Kesari paid a BHAVBHINI SHRADHANJALI to him, but the media had no time and place for him.

A Nation reveals itself by honouring the number of its people, and not by the number of persons it has!
