THEY ARE PLUNDERING BHARAT AND HER RESOURCES WITH BOTH HANDS.\\\\\\\\\\\\ NEXT TO THIS RETIRED PRESIDENT WOULD BE A WIDOW STRUGGLING TO MANAGE A DRY CHAPATI FOR HER STARVING CHILDREN.\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ THIS IS "FREE" INDIA?\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\Dear Sir \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ I am enclosing a copy of the President's pension Rules and \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ http://urbanindia.nic.in/what%27snew/lbz.htm \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ You will notice that there have been many changes to the act ever since Mrs Pratibha Patil took over as President. It may be a coincidence. \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ The question is can the nation afford to bear the cost of maintaining retired presidents in such luxury and costs as follows.\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ Pension 75000 \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ cost of a house Use of a furnished residence (including its maintenance),without payment of rent, two telephones (one for internet and broadband connectivity), one mobile phone with national roaming facility and a motor-car, free of charge or to such car allowance as may be specified in the rules.(Does the government not know that BSNL gives broadband connectivity on the same phone and needs no additional phone) \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ Cost of secretarial staff consisting of a Private Secretary, one Additional Private Secretary, one Personal Assistant and two Peons \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ Sixty thousand towards office expenses annum.\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ The President has a term of 5 years but the above facilities are available even if he resigns before the term expires. Is this also applicable to Defense? If the president does not have to do a Minimum service to earn pension why are we being forced. Many veterans are released after 10 years service but are given nothing. Why? \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ Can we have this in a democracy?\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ The parliament must rethink on the Act governing the pensions of President/Vice President and Prime Ministers. The copy of British era law /act must be changed to the ground reality of today's India.
