18 OCT 14. (anniversary of assassination attempt on Benazir Bhutto in Karachi in 2007):
THE PRESIDENT OF INDIA is also the SUPREME COMMANDER of her armed forces. He is supposed to have courage to inspire the nation but it appears that he has the GENES OF A GOAT. Here is why:
The Constitution of India has Article 370 in it. It FORBIDS any INDIAN buying land or property in Kashmir. This Guy, to his utmost degradation, incompetence and SHAME, is INDIAN!
He was 12 years old when India "exploded" in violence and bloodshed, and her historic frontiers were blown up. She became THREE fragments out of one whole earlier. (Date of birth of the President: 11 December 1935).
Yet he never mentions the greatest historic event, that is, the DEFEAT & DESTRUCTION of his country of birth!
He is the President. So, should he not know the PAST and PRESENT of his own country?
But if he is IGNORANT of what happened in 1947 then he should NOT be the President but sweeping the streets of West Bengal!
His TRUNCATED Bharat is further endangered by his SILENCE on "PARTITION" as well as the PERPETUAL “cease fire” that makes “KASHMIR” a DISPUTED State!
There must be a thousand reasons as to why he has decided to totally IGNORE "Partition"- and that is for the historians, politicians and journalists to explore and explain unless in India they, too, are totally useless!
It is common sense and universal practice to see all the countries on earth celebrating or commemorating their biggest days of joy and disaster in public. But it is not so in PARTITIONED INDIAN SECULAR STATE. Does it mean that the INDIANS, kept IGNORANT by their own President, “deserve” another defeat and disaster of the magnitude of the lethal blow received in 1947? What else is the FATE of nations that refuse to reflect on their defeats in order to draw some lessons for the future?
One reason, often recounted, is the great reverence for Mr MK Gandhi, called "Mahatma" throughout India. “Mahatma” Gandhi was worshipped, or revered, by MOST Hindus. Hence to public perception he could not commit any mistake nor could he betray his land and people. But, what if that is exactly what did happen? The President of India is “playing dead” like the mouse caught in the cat’s paw.
Someone summed it up nicely when he said, "GANDHI WAS THE SHEPHERD WHEN ALL THE INDIANS WERE LIKE THE SHEEP. BUT GANDHI, THE SHEPHERD, COULD NOT KILL OR CHASE AWAY THE WOLVES WHO WERE AFTER OUR LAND, WOMEN AND HOMES."

LESSON FROM THE "DEATH" OF INDIA:
NO COUNTRY SHOULD FOLLOW A LEADER WHO WILL "VANISH" LIKE MK GANDHI WHEN THE ENEMY IS AT YOUR DOOR OR APPEARS FROM WITHIN!
