Whatever Ganda Gandhi was, whether he was a Londoner or not, is immaterial!
He was CERTAINLY NOT AN INDIAN, who presided over the vivisection process

Subject: LORD DESAI BACKING THE WRONG HORSE
Lord Desai, member of House of Lords in London, has declared Gandhi to be a "Londoner". So, according to him, London should honour him by erecting his statue next to the Parliament House in London.
How much is Lord Desai in tune with the sentiments of his own fellow Indians is seen by reading the 150 (up to now) comments posted on the following site:

Why must some Indians, especially HINDUS, stick to someone who lured his followers into the abyss of Partition when he could have gone on his customary "fast unto death" to PREVENT Partition and the immense loss of life and territory? At that time in history he was in such an unassailable revered position as "Father of India" that even Mohammed Ali Jinnah would not have let him die!
Are we never going to take on board our warriors and real heroes who guided us, or brought us, to VICTORY?
Surely we, as a nation, do not stand for "non violence AT ALL COSTS!" ("Ahimsa PARMO Dharma"). There comes a time, especially when facing a MURDERER, BANDIT or KAFIR-KILLER, to draw the sword and COUNTER ATTACK.
Do we ever think that when a total pacifist like Gandhi sacrifices his life like Guru Tegh Bahadurji, what happens to their FOLLOWERS. What happens to their homes, wives and daughters?
When the HINDUS think of the "BEREAVED" (those left behind) they will all wish to carry a dagger or a pistol at all times.
