An incident which I saw was at Delhi m Railway Station, where he went,
when he heard that Mew Muslims were leaving for Pakistan.
When he was at the station, he could see Hindus/Sikhs refugees from Pakistan
in very desperate condition, with their meagre belongings.
Yet he passed through them with Gandhi Ji ki Jai slogans (not from the refugees). He pleaded
with the Mew Muslims not to leave India and if they go, it will be on his dead
body.
He persuaded them to stay in truncated India.
