THAT this house calls on the Secretary of State for the Home Department to reinstitute the ban on Gujarat’s Chief Minister, Narendra Modi, from entering the UK, given his role in the communal violence in 2002 that claimed the lives of hundreds if not thousands of Muslims, including British nationals; expresses its concern that the ban was lifted for economic and diplomatic reasons, ignoring the role Mr Modi and his administration played in the violence that warranted the ban that stood for more than 10 years; notes that Mr Modi was previously denied a visa on grounds that he was “responsible for or directly carried out…particularly severe violations of religious freedom; and calls on Mr Speaker and the House authorities to ban Mr Modi from entering the Palace of Westminster.
You were one of six sponsors of the motion. You probably are aware that Mr Narendra Modi is due to visit England in November 2015. Your views as per EDM 479 were when you were a member of parliament. Today you are leader of Her Majesty’s opposition in the British Parliament.
I am keen to learn your views regarding Mr Narendra Modi’s visit in two months’ time. Are your views still the same as they were when you signed Early Day Motion 479 of 2013-14?
Like me, many Indians are also interested in knowing your views on this issue. For this reason I am sending this letter as an open letter.

IF AT ALL ANYONE, IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE PRESIDENT AND THE PRIME MINISTER OF PAKISTAN WHOSE TRAVEL ABROAD WAS TO BE DECLARED UNDESIRABLE.
IN THE YEAR OF BIRTH OF THE ISLAMIC REPUBLIC NEARLY TWO MILLION (TWO MILLION) NON MUSLIMS WERE SLAUGHTERED IN PAKISTAN BY THE MUSLIMS.
THE LEADERS OF PAKISTAN SHOULD NOT ONLY BE BANNED FROM ENTERING THE UNITED KINGDOM BUT ALSO PRODUCED BEFORE THE INTERNATIONAL COURT OF JUSTICE IN HAGUE FOR PROSECUTION LIKE THE TWO SERB LEADERS CHARGED WITH MUSLIM GENOCIDE.
HOW AND WHY ARE THE MUSLIM CRIMINALS NOT BARRED ENTRY INTO THE UK, OR PRODUCED BEFORE THE WORLD HUMAN RIGHTS COURT?
DOESN'T EACH AND EVERY ISLAMIC CONSTITUTION VIOLATE THE UN CHARTER OF HUMAN RIGHTS THAT DECLARES ALL MEN TO BE EQUAL BEFORE LAW? SO, HOW ARE HINDUS, JEWS AND CHRISTIANS EQUAL BEFORE THE LAW UNDER AN ISLAMIC CONSTITUTION?
