BLASTS IN SRI LANKA AND IMPACT ON PARTITIONED INDIA
At least 290 people were killed and more than 500 wounded in a series of bomb blasts that hit luxury hotels and churches across Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019.
For a small country like Sri Lanka, population only 21 million, the impact would be much worse than the attack on Pearl Harbour (December 7, 1941) and on WTC towers in New York on September 11, 2001 in the United States.
Audacity and daring, as well as the capacity to do immense damage & destruction, rests with the community that can instantly produce ANY NUMBER of “suicide bombers” in pursuit of their perceived national cause.
IMPLICATIONS
1. Our initial speculation was that a Buddhist group was responsible since Sri Lanka is a BUDDHIST country and the natives were wary of increasing influence by the Christians. But after several hours of agonizing wait it was learnt that an ISLAMIC extremist group had planted the bombs in a well coordinated operation, simultaneously at several sites, including main churches and luxury hotels.
The reason for these blasts should worry the majority community there. The way the Muslim extremists acted to scare and drive out the Christians means that they already perceive Sri Lanka to be an Islamic country! The Buddhist leaders must now wake up!
We will keep asking another question- till eternity, “How could the security agencies and services of Sri Lanka remain so ignorant?”
The SIGNIFICANCE of the Islamic offensive is that Buddhist “secularism” has been exposed as “wind” (or vacuum) just like the Hindu secularism in Bharat where the Muslims have put their foot down in Ayodhya and Srinagar.
There is certainly a POWER VACUUM in Sri Lanka that the Muslims smartly sensed, and then decided to FILL. If the Buddhist MAJORITY do not act fast to ASSERT themselves on THEIR own territory, a dark future awaits Sri Lanka.
2. Bharat needs to understand the concept of “SPHERE OF INFLUENCE”. It means that whatever happens in the neighboring countries can also have direct or indirect effect on Bharat itself.
Hindus, collectively speaking, were SLEEPING when crafty Jawaharlal Nehru struck a Top Secret deal with “brother” Mohammed Ali Jinnah to establish his Pakistan. LAHORE did not fly out of Map of India by itself, nor did FRONTIER drop down to Wagah by a gust of wind. The whole Hindu nation was culpable.
Therefore, what happened in Sri Lanka, will have repercussions in “sleepy” secular Bharat. We can only hope that the Hindus adopt a new CONSTITUTION for “Hindu Rashtra” immediately so that the 2nd., 3rd., 4th. and FIFTH Columns, sleeping, or active within Bharat, get the message to sing poet Iqbal’s poem “Saarey Jahaan se achcha Hindusthan hamaara”, every day- morning and evening.
What applies to the secular Buddhists in Sri Lanka, applies EVEN MORE to the secular Hindus since we have already lost our TERRITORIES in the East and the West!
