Sub:- Unbecoming martially deficient response of veterans, over LOC killings.
Ref:- (i)- Veterans are also involved in time-pass through media, over LOC killings.
(ii)- “What can military do if government does not act” is misleading lame excuse of veterans.
(iii)- In democracy veterans can easily form political party to influence martial policies of government.
(iv)- If veterans in public life can’t solve the problems of military then how can they be trusted to solve the problems of others.
(v)- When will veterans understand that without unified J&K, there is no crucial Kashmir solution.
(vi)- Veterans pathetically incompetent to understand the implications of:-
(A)- Unpatriotic Indian policy on Kashmir, especially in view of 2014 US withdrawal from Afghanistan
(B)- Fundamentalism of Islam, the religion which believes in keeping State under its authority.
(C )- Isolationist response of USA & its Allies in NAME, which is promoting global Muslim fundamentalist terrorist organizations.
(D)- Absurd expectations from India or Pakistan to give-up, in any form, their respective .present possession of or position on Kashmir.
(vii)- Without launching political party by veterans with single point agenda of retrieving POK militarily, India has no hope.
(viii)- Veterans can find huge support from over 2 million Indian citizens (POK refugees and DKP refugees) to launch this national party from J&K.
Dear Sir
The way any number of defense analysts and veterans (ex – Army Generals etc) of India are presently appearing and making hullabaloo as time-pass in electronic and print media over Tuesday killings of 5 Indian Jawans by Pakistan (allegedly by its State & non – State actors) across LOC in Poonch / Jammu sector, the people of India can easily believe that it is going to be business as usual in another fortnight or so, if these and other veterans do not think seriously about rectifying the chronic martial deficiency of India, as given below:_
(1)- First and foremost Indians will have to understand that the oft-repeated lame excuse given by veterans that “What can military do if government does not act” is misleading argument, especially in a democracy where veterans can easily form a political party to influence the martial policies of government of India.
(2)- Indians should also understand that if veterans in public life (including in political parties - the existing and in the process of being launched) can’t solve the problems of their own profession (the military) then how they can be trusted to solve the problems of others.
(3)- God only knows that when will Indian veterans understand that without unified J&K, there is no Kashmir solution. Moreover without Kashmir solution one can reasonably be certain that such LOC killings or other terrorist attacks in different parts of India (by terrorists coming or controlled from Pakistan), will never stop.
(4)- But these veterans of martially deficient India are pathetically incompetent to understand:-
(i)- The implications of unpatriotic Indian policy on Kashmir, especially in view of 2014 US withdrawal from Afghanistan. Due this unpatriotic Kashmir policy India never tried to retrieve its territory of POK militarily especially in view of collapse of UN Resolution on Plebiscite due to refusal in 1948 by Pakistan to vacate POK, a precondition for plebiscite in this UN Resolution (though Pakistan tried such, so many times - in 1947, 1948, 1965, 1971, during Kargil and through still on-going proxy war)
(ii)- The implications of fundamentalism of Islam, the religion which unlike other religions (Hinduism and Christianity) believes in keeping State under its authority. Hence it will be impossible for any government in Pakistan (including present government of Nawaz Sharif) to deviate even an inch from its traditional stand on Kashmir problem which (as per media reports) has already claimed the lives of about one hundred thousand Muslims for Kashmir solution (which as per these fundamentalists is nothing but either assimilation of J&K in Muslim country Pakistan or carving out, like Bangladesh, an independent new Muslim county J&K).
(iii)- The implications of isolationist response of USA & its Allies towards gory developments in Muslim NAME countries (Syria, Egypt etc), which has a huge potential of promoting global Muslim fundamentalist terrorist organizations. Moreover especially in view of 2014 US withdrawal from Afghanistan, these terrorist organizations (operating from and through Afghanistan Pakistan and POK) are certainly going to find India (through Kashmir) as an attractive & easy target
(iv)- That present India is not the India of 1947 and it will never compromise on territorial integrity of India. Hence it is absurd to expect either from India or from Pakistan to give-up, in any form, their respective .present possession of or position on Kashmir (it is no surprise or coincidence that despite so many talks and CBMs of last over a decade, there has been no progress on Kashmir solution)
(5)- Therefore without launching political party by veterans with single point agenda of retrieving POK militarily, India has no hope of rectifying its chronic martial deficiency. The Indian veterans need not bother about the ramifications of such military expedition against nuclear Pakistan because there is powerful international community on this earth which will take care of it. Otherwise also the last word on India’s partition is yet to be written.
(6)- For this, the Indian veterans can find huge support from over 2 million Indian citizens also (1.2 million POK refugees at Jammu and Displaced Kashmiri Pundit refugees who are in large numbers at Jammu too) to launch this India level national political party from J&K.
It does not require a political genius to understand that such highly & meaningfully patriotic national political party of veterans has immense chances of occupying large number of seats in Parliament through 2014 elections which will be adequate to influence the policy of government of India in the interest of rectifying the chronic martial deficiency of Indian State.
